


San Francisco Bay Area-based Rayco Energy is an energy service company (ESCO) focused on energy efficiency, solar power, and building modernization. Rayco Energy is unique because of the unique combination of energy efficiency measures alongside renewable energy sources. Typical project scopes include Solar PV & Solar Pool Heating, LED lighting upgrades, Demand management, Building envelope upgrades and Long-term energy master planning.
Team Members and History
Ricky Chu is the Co-Founder of the company and works with homeowners associations and building owners on saving on their utility costs. His company focuses on retrofitting buildings to become more energy efficient. He spends his time doing energy consulting for many of the region’s largest multi-family developments. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors in the California sun.
Monica Durham is the Chief Administrator of Rayco and focuses on new and existing client support and development. Her experience draws from decades in the IT world. She is a local resident of San Jose and is an avid backyard gardener.
Rick Nuessle is the Director of Engineering for Rayco. His expert knowledge in demand charge management and virtual net metering allow for Rayco to provide the latest in net metering options and energy reduction opportunities. He is a resident of Marin County and holds engineering degrees from UC Berkeley and University of Hawaii.
Jonathan Tsai is the VP of Software Engineering and Information Technology. He has over a decade of experience in engineering software products reaching millions of consumers globally. He has also developed RaycoLabs.com, a unique system which paves the way for virtual net metering in multi-unit buildings. Jonathan mixes work and play often as he enjoys learning and experimenting with smart home technology and home automation, and holds a degree in Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
